I was born in South Africa as the fourth generation to an artistic family. It was wonderful to have been able to have a childhood with dogs, a pony and a closeness to nature. My connection and love of animals has always been strong.

I have had a lifetime of experience with horses in all the various disciplines from riding racehorses, playing polocrosse to showjumping, eventing and dressage,

I am now based in Germany where I have competed extensively in Dressage, competing at International Grand Prix level on the four horses that I produced.

Over the years, being so involved with training and competition, I didn’t have much time for art, however it is now taking over the driving seat and I am focused on celebrating the animals in art.

I am greatfull for the years of experience with the animals as it has given me a good understanding of the muscular skeletal system and the biomechanics which helps me tremendously in representing the animals correctly in art.

My passion is to represent the feeling, movement and emotions that a human shares and feels with the animals.
